The ASCI Professional Accreditation Scheme

ASCI’s Professional Accreditation Scheme is a cornerstone of ASCI’s vision to professionalise Supply Chain Management. Unique within Australasia and aligned with Australian Professional Standards Authority (PSA) principles, the scheme delivers independent, industry-recognised validation of professional capability against globally aligned standards.

Professionals may register across multiple supply chain disciplines, with recognition based on demonstrated career achievement, practical experience, qualifications, and professional certifications relevant to their chosen stream.

Assessment is rigorous and centred on “Relevancy of Practice”, covering operational, management, and executive-level experience. To protect the integrity of the accreditation process, all supporting documents must be certified as true copies by a Justice of the Peace before submission. Resumes must also be affidavit-supported and include full employment contact details for audit purposes.

There are three levels of Registration:

Registration as an Associate

An associate is the entry-level for professional registration in a particular stream. An associate will have a basic understanding of the technical and procedural requirements to work productively in their chosen stream. They will know the applicable organisational policies, industry standards and regulations. Typically, an associate works under the supervision of a more senior, experienced practitioner.

An associate will have some post-secondary school qualification or at least four years of relevant experience.

Registration as a Practitioner

A practitioner will thoroughly understand the technical and procedural requirements of a particular stream. A practitioner can work independently to complete complex tasks and achieve desired organisational outcomes. They will have a sound understanding of and apply relevant organisational policies, industry standards, and regulations.

A practitioner typically has some advanced post-secondary qualification and at least four years of relevant experience.

Registration as Advanced Practitioner*

An advanced practitioner will have advanced technical and procedural knowledge of their registration stream. An advanced practitioner can assume leadership roles in technical or operational capacities. They can influence or author organisational policies, industry standards and regulations.

An advanced practitioner typically has advanced qualifications and at least 15 years of relevant experience.

* Available in 2026.
